New BIOS (1.07) for Miix 2 8

http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=97954366722947532405

Don't know where it came from, but some people have applied it fine. I have not tried it, because my Miix has been running flawlessly and stable, I have no desire to change its current status by applying any update.

  1. Just want to send out a tremendous "Thank you!" I received so much helpful information regarding the Miix 2 8 that I couldn't get from other places. Are you aware of any other blogs out there with detailed Miix 2 8 modding info? I was fortunate enough to stumble on your post in the tablet pc review forum. Thanks again.

    1. Miix 2 8 is not so popular compared to Dell Veno Pro 8 which is sold in major stores like Walmart and Costco at much lower price. So, there won't be many sites on the Miix, except few who really can appreciate good stuff.

  9. I wrote up a clean install set of notes for Windows 8.1 using a retail ISO here:

There are also some later driver versions than you can get from Lenovo, notably, the Intel HD drivers.

IIRC Broadcom, Graphics, Bluetooth have later driver versions than you can get from Lenovo.

See the post for fine details.

  10. Anyone tried Miracast with the new 1.07 Bios?
Since upgrading to 1.07 miracast fails for me.

    1. Fixed just after posting this.
After updating the bios, if anything isn't working go into the bios, hit the exit tab, select to reset all settings.
      Save and exit.
      Worked for me.
