Simply install Sougou Input for TV, can be easily found in Shafa Market. Then enable it, or disable it, as showing in this video (near the end):
You may also use adb to enable or it:
adb connect 192.168.###.###
adb shell "ime enable com.sohu.inputmethod.sogouoem/.SogouIME"
adb shell "ime set com.sohu.inputmethod.sogouoem/.SogouIME"
replace "###.###" with the IP of your Fire TV.
